“Many of us probably would be better fishermen if we did not spend so much time watching and waiting for the world to become perfect.”

Welcome to The Fat Fingered Fly Tyer!

Established in the spring of 2020, this blog was formed with the intention of serving as a digital archive of both my misadventures afield and personal development behind the vice.  In the roughly two years since, however, this site has grown far beyond that original mission.

We’ve accrued an ever-growing catalog of step-by-step fly-tying tutorials and continue to expand our reach with individuals from over 80 countries having accessed these resources since this blog’s inception.  Interspersed, we continue to share our experiences afield in hopes that they may provide both insight and entertainment to those who stumble across them.  Our goal is to offer a unique perspective in hopes that we may help those who read become better fishermen while not “waiting for the world to become perfect.”

With that in mind, please follow along as we continue to expand this site’s offerings.  And please don’t hesitate to reach out through our comments or contact page with any questions, comments or requests.  We welcome collaboration and appreciate all those who have taken the time to enjoy this blog.
